Central Liverpool Primary Care Network has launched a new coil and implant service, which is available to patients registered with this practice.
Long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) is contraception that doesn’t depend on you remembering to take or use it to be effective. It is highly effective
at preventing pregnancy. Less than 1 in 100 women will get pregnant per year using a LARC, compared with the combined pill where up to 9 in 100 may
get pregnant. No contraception is perfect, but for most women LARCs will be more convenient as well as being more effective. The Central Liverpool Primary Care
Network LARC service aims to make these options more easily available.
